02 / HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE

Built from
real-world work.

Kenlane brings its founder’s hands-on infrastructure experience to residential properties and hospitality businesses. Our work spans operating systems, staged upgrades, and detailed designs for new locations.

Experience with UniFi infrastructure and Home Assistant.

OPERATING SYSTEMS · CONTINUING EXPANSION

Kenlane Campus

A residential technology program serving a three-home campus, with an operating core installation and further property integration in development.

  • Network infrastructure: 2 Gbps symmetric fiber service, UniFi switching and indoor/outdoor Wi-Fi, with cellular WAN failover.
  • Centralized systems: A 24U equipment rack brings together networking, UniFi Protect recording, UNAS Pro 8 storage, and 10GbE-connected computers.
  • Monitoring: Video surveillance and environmental, entry, and motion sensors integrated into property operations.
  • Power resilience: UPS-backed equipment, dedicated electrical circuits, and rack power monitoring.
  • Practical automation: Home Assistant garage lighting combines motion, door state, and person detection with time-based brightness and inactivity controls.
PRE-DEPLOYMENT TESTING · UPGRADE IN PROGRESS

Shadow Rack

A separate 6U staging rack allows new equipment to be configured and connections tested before the primary network cutover.

  • Hardware under test: UDM Beast, Pro XG Aggregation, and Pro XG 48 PoE switching.
  • Uplink design: Four 25GbE links per core switch are being configured for LACP, providing up to 100 Gbps aggregate capacity per switch across multiple traffic flows.
  • Storage connectivity: The upgrade plan includes dual 10GbE NAS links and a dedicated 10GbE recording-system connection.
  • Cutover preparation: Equipment adoption, uplink validation, port mapping, and power planning before migration.

BUSINESS & HOSPITALITY · OPERATING LOCATIONS AND EXPANSION DESIGNS

The Trendy Bunny

Technology planning across four boutique, play-cafe, and event locations. The scopes below describe site-specific infrastructure designs; installation progresses with each property’s operating and construction schedule.

Greensburg · Studio

Design for a nine-camera surveillance system, Wi-Fi, four-door access control, centralized recording, and POS connectivity. Rack and PoE planning coordinate the network with the physical installation.

Hempfield · Event Cafe

Indoor/outdoor Wi-Fi, a five-camera surveillance design, single-door access, environmental sensing, and POS connectivity, with local video recording and backup power.

Ligonier · Tree House

Infrastructure design for a future play cafe: five-door access control, five surveillance cameras, environmental monitoring, recording, and POS connectivity.

Delmont · Event Cafe

A two-building design connecting the main venue and greenhouse by fiber. The scope coordinates five controlled doors, nine cameras, indoor/outdoor Wi-Fi, monitoring, and backup power across the buildings.

Project experience includes work completed by Kenlane’s founder before the company’s formation, along with current design and upgrade programs.

03 / OUR APPROACH

Understand the property.
Then engineer the system.

01

Start with your needs.

Understand the space, the people using it, and the everyday problems technology should solve.

02

Plan the whole picture.

Map connectivity, equipment, power, and integration before making individual hardware decisions.

03

Bring it together.

Configure and validate the systems, coordinating physical installation with the appropriate contractors.

04

Keep it manageable.

Document the infrastructure and build a practical path for maintenance and future improvements.
